Tom Hannigan is a Philly native from the Northeast and a current student at Temple University. He began taking Improv classes in the late 2011. Tom was a member of the indie teams Demonikus Rex and Malone and appeared in short run shows Stay Dead! An Improvise Horror Comedy in 2014 and Reasonable Doubt for PHIT during the 2013 Fringe Arts Festival. He was cast on PHIT House Team Outside Voices in 2013 and has performed with them at the Del Close Marathon, The District Improv Festival and the Philadelphia Improv Festival. Tom currently performs as a member of the indie group’s dirt, Yung Dad and Rhodes & Hannigan.
Tom completed all of PHIT’s core improv classes with Ralph Andracchio, Nathan Edmondson, Greg Maughan and Kristen Schier as well as Sketch 101 and 201 with Joe Moore and Paul Triggiani. He’s also taken a number of workshops with some very talented local and visiting performers including workshops with Matt Besser, Jill Bernard, Bill McLaughlin and Christina Gausas. Other electives he’s taken at PHIT including “Imaginary Object Work” with Nick Gillette, “The Bat” with Jason Grimley, “Scene Study” with Steve Kleinendler and “Stand-Up 101” with Chip Chantry and Mary Radzinski.
Tom also enjoys comic books and lasagna.
