Courtney Painter (instructor)

Courtney Painter is a teaching assistant in the PHIT Kids & Teens program, teaching the Grades 2-3 Beginner Improvised Play course. Courtney has been studying and performing improv since 2014. She has studied at PHIT under Jess Snow, Mike Hochman, Mike Marbach, Nick Gillette, and Steve Kleinedler and has studied sketch at PHIT under Joe Moore and Paul Triggiani. She has also studied improv at iO in Chicago and has taken workshops at UCB in New York. Courtney is a writer and performer on PHIT sketch house team Dog Mountain. She can also be seen performing around town with her indy sketch & improv team Barbara Bush. She is a nanny by day and has spent countless springs, summers, and falls teaching/coaching field hockey and lacrosse to elementary and middle school age children.
