Stage Combat: Have you ever seen the energy of a show come to a screeching halt when the actors throw a punch? Have you been onstage and felt the audience check out because they were more worried about the actors’ safety than the story being told? In this 3-hour workshop you will learn basics of stage combat, that sweet science that’s used to help you create the illusion of realistic violence. You will learn about safe distance, throwing strikes, realistic reactions and falling without breaking bones. Partners will work together to slap, punch, kick, gouge, elbow, and bash each other safely and have a great time doing it!
