March 2017 The Knitty Gritty of Itty with Caitlin Weigel

CaitlinWeigel_colorYou are a human person who has existed in the real world and occupied real space and interacted with a thousand different things for your whole entire life. So why are all your improv characters just eating food and wearing shoes while they talk to their doctor? Why aren’t they noshing on pomegranate seeds and rocking a sweet pair of scuffed up Air Force Ones while they nod along with Dr. Trello’s diagnosis? Specifics bring our characters to life and we have a whole encyclopedia of them ready to go in our brains already – we just have to find ways to tap into those dreamy bins full of detailed language in our scenes. This workshop will help you move from the “store” to Boscov’s, from your “friend” to Harrison Rooney, and from feeling “good” to feeling like your principal just declared a Snow Day on a Thursday night before the snow even started.
